Broadway's history of spectacular flops didn't end in 1990, the final year covered in Not Since Carrie. This collection picks up where the book left off, chronicling notable musical failures from the 1990s to today.It roughly follows the criteria Ken Mandelbaum used in the book:· Musicals with short Broadway runs: 250 performances or fewer· No national tour after the Broadway engagement· Not regularly produced in later years (I also excluded shows from the past 3 years, since they haven't had enough time to be produced regionally)· No revues, bookless song cycles, or dance musicalsBut the theatre industry has changed considerably since Not Since Carrie was published, and those criteria do not always fit today's landscape. So I added filters that let you add back short-running shows that later toured, have been regularly produced, or opened within the past 3 years .You can explore the list using whichever standard you prefer.
