This pitch-black comedy dives into ambition, identity, and the challenges faced by women in the entertainment industry. Jeremy Herrin will direct David Ireland’s brutally funny play, with costume design by Max Jones, lighting design by Oliver Fenwick, and sound design by Emma Laxton. Ireland’s critically acclaimed play received its world premiere in 2018 at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. The Guardian raves that “Ireland brilliantly captures the bewilderment of a generation that knows the rules of social engagement have changed”. Ulster American also received the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award and the Scotsman Fringe First Award.
