Triumph

In advance of the midterm elections, the brilliant, prescient playwright Caryl Churchill's newest short play TRIUMPH makes its joint world premiere at The Public Theater alongside a concurrent production at London's Almeida Theatre. Inspired by Suetonius’s The Twelve Caesars, TRIUMPH is the story of Iris, press secretary to the Roman emperors. Popping up on select dates this fall before mainstage performances and free and open to all, this provocative clash of past and present is directed by Associate Artistic Director/Resident Director Saheem Ali.
