These were the dreams of everyday Berliners, exploring surveillance, arrests, complicity — and resistance. Years later, from her new home in New York, Beradt published a collection of these dreams as an indictment of the encroaching brutality of the regime. Playwright Anne Nelson and director David Skeist are adapting this work for the stage, now presented in a captivating and haunting production in development.
