Long-distance lovers, Ellie and Sylvia, are savoring their last moments
together in Sylvia's new apartment on the fourth-of-July (of all
holidays) before they find themselves launched into the zombie
apocalypse. The virus, however, seems to only be targeting those who
consume conservative media outlets. They seek shelter in Sylvia's
parents' basement, and are forced to "enjoy" a passive aggressive
barbecue with her family. As they all break bread, we gain insight into
the mindsets of conservatives, as well as into the power of queer
resistance.
