Leave a Message After…The Beep is a musical theater collection of poems, stories, and melodies drawn from the works of celebrated Puerto Rican writers, including Jesús Papoleto Meléndez, Magdalena Gómez, Mariposa Fernández, Manuel Méndez Ballester, and more. Leave a Message After…The Beep brings together these luminary voices and their heartfelt and hilarious depictions of Spanish Caribbean life and the migrant experience. Leave a Message After…The Beep is part of Pregones/PRTT’s original musical theater repertoire and will be remounted in partnership with the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, featuring a slate of living poets from Puerto Rico to be announced soon. Adapted and directed by Rosalba Rolón, with compositions and musical direction by Desmar Guevara.
