In 1960 New York City, lovable loser Hubie Cram is determined to find a get-rich-quick scheme. Pursuing a quick buck in jukebox rentals, Hubie is soon swept up into the record business, facing the temptation of power, money, and romance with an attractive young singer. The show’s tuneful score by Jule Styne, Betty Comden, and Adolph Green features the hits “Cry Like the Wind,” “All of My Life,” and "Make Someone Happy."
