Unlikely friends must navigate through a war-torn, near-future New York in this retro-futurist play about retaining one’s morality. - BOMBASTIA (or, Blood Upon the Risers) follows the story of Sam, an out of work poet who does not sympathize with the totalitarian style government, “The Movement,” which has taken over the city. On the precipice, Sam must choose to conform or fight, and all the while the enemy draws nearer. Written and directed by Luc D’Arcy (The Pilgrim, Emma and Warren in the Garden of Eden), presented as part of the Zoopraxic Rehoused Residency, BOMBASTIA is a style-bending, post-modern morality play that asks what’s left in a world where “everything’s wrong and you’re wrong for being any part of it…”
